Piet has many genera in continual development so that he can get the plants he wants for his garden designs.

Piet feels that the 'drooping' petal habit of Echinacea can give it a bit of a sad look, and he wanted to have a perkier looking plant. 

Echinacea 'Vintage Wine' is the result of years of seedling selection to achieve this. The deep colouring is an added bonus!
