Echinops

Among Peter's 20 Echinops varieties is one simply referred to as STE 15, which is being used for cut flowers.

"STE 15"

It is 75cm tall and its open flowers will be an intense blue.
Among its features are a very uniform habit and very healthy foliage - traits sadly lacking in many Echinops, including the ever popular 'Veitch's Blue', which is produced in large quantities at the nursery.

A possible new introduction for 2007 will be Echinops 'Sea Stone', which is a compact variety with healthy foliage.
