New Echinacea from Piet Oudolf
10-02-2004 14:30 Having been greeted with much approval by those who have already seen it, Echinacea 'Jade' is set for a 2005 introduction as a Darwin PlantSpotters variety.

As the name suggests, green is a theme, with a green cone as the centrepiece within a ring of white petals that also sometimes show a green tinge.

E. 'Jade' is also distinguished by the outward, rather than drooping habit of the petals that Piet has been working to achieve.
