But rather than simply continuing in exactly the same line of business, each generation has adapted it to their own tastes. Aad himself is no exception to that. His chosen occupation of growing and breeding new perennial varieties follows on from his father’s bulb growing business, which in turn was an adaptation from his grandfather’s use of the land as a cattle farm.

As well as growing selected perennial crops to order, Aad takes a keen interest in creating and selecting new varieties, with Heucheras as his speciality.
