Garden writers descend on Dick's garden
20-07-2006 15:12 A group of garden writers from Canadia and the USA were treated to a visit to Dick's private garden during a tour of The Netherlands.

The group of 14 writers and master gardeners were delighted to be entertained by Dick and his wife Marja as they showed them around the garden and talked them through the many carefully selected plants collected by the couple over the years.  


Marja and Dick provided welcome refreshments on a very hot day


Everybody pays close attention as Dick explains the story behind the garden


Dick had no trouble making friends with the garden writers who were thrilled with his garden

They were also very impressed to see Verbascum 'Flower of Scotland' and witness first hand its unique habit and attractive colouring.
