With its vibrant colouring combined with strength and improved sun-tolerance imparted by H. villiosa genes, H. 'Caramel' has proved a great success.
Now the inevitable has happened, as while H. 'Caramel' was stealing the show and a few headlines Thierry was already busy in the crossing shed, partnering it with an old French favourite of his, H. Gloire dOrleans (sometimes known as Lemoine) to produce the next generation of villosa hybrids.

Seedlings collected from the crossings resulted in no less than 8 new introductions of which H. 'Pistache' is the strongest and fastest growing variety, with characteristics closest to the archetypal H. villosa.
With its huge yellow-green foliage, large white flowers and fast growth rate, Heuchera 'Pistache' is a plant that grows with pride. As it is introduced in 2008, it is the largest, most robust yellow-green Heuchra we know about.
