‘Delft Blue’ has broad white edges to its blue petals giving a striped effect unique in Bella - donna type Delphiniums.

It is a mutant of ‘Völkerfrieden’, a very popular and longstanding cut flower variety.

Commercial Production

20-01-2004 15:32 Delphinium 'Delft Blue' is grown commercially at the Heemskerk-Rietvink nursery in Noordwijkerhout, Holland, where it was discovered.

This nursery specialises in producing cut flowers, including D. 'Delft Blue'. But if you are lucky enough to spot it at your local florist you'll be one of the few who know it's history!
