A very special plant, Geranium 'Sweet Heidy' has to be one of the most colourful Hardy Geraniums available.

The result of crossing blue and pink flowered varieties of G. wallichianum with other dark-pink varieties, it maintains the long-blooming flower power and trailing habit of G. wallichianum while bringing a new dimension to its colouring.

According to Marco the flowers first appear cream-pink, darkening as they age and developing blue edges.

They can be enjoyed from May right through till september, making it a very valuable asset for the garden.

The back of the flowers display dramatic pink markings

With a part-trailing habit, the plants have a good range of uses, as ground cover for the front of the border to trailing out of containers or hanging baskets.

And the name? Finally Marco found a plant special enough to dedicate to his wife Heidy, whos tireless work at the nursery is a vital contribution to its success.
