This impressively floriferous variety provides endless intrigue with its ever-changing bi-colour flowers.

The large, disc-shaped flowers have non-drooping crimson petals marked with varying proportions of bright yellow highlights, depending on light exposure.

Plants have very thick, sturdy stems and coarser foliage.

British Red Cross shows appreciation for 'Chelsey' sales

28-09-2005 14:49 The British Red Cross awarded Darwin Plants (the company that owns Darwin PlantSpotters) a certificate of appreciation for the fundraising efforts associated with sales of Helenium 'Chelsey'.

Miriam Young accepted the certificate on Darwin PlantSpotters behalf at a ceremony in Aylesbury on September 22nd.

Chelsey Lloyd was also awarded a certificate of appreciation for her fundraising work in the past year, which has raised almost £30,000 for The Red Cross in memory of her father, Terry Lloyd.

The certificate was presented by the Buckinghamshire branch of The Red Cross as this is Chelsey Lloyd's local area, and where the administration for her fundraising is based.
